I find this a very interesting use of an hour - it provides analysis and detail on benefits of the Roadcraft line for view.

Haven't got to the end yet, so I'll be interested to see what it says re risk vs oncoming traffic, but it certainly quantifies the benefits on a sample corner ; points out that view benefits are significantly higher for gentle corners decreasing to negligible on very acute bends ; and encourages us to look at central white lines to see if they're scuffed by oncoming traffic frequently cutting the corner.

Pics I took for a discussion on the supposed 'benefits' of extended offside position for view. Yes, maybe better view of the offside verge in the distance, but marginal improvement to the nearside view - the 'hidden' second limit point, or as Mind Driving terms it: the 'surprise horizon', ie the nearest point from which something can get you.
