Chain Link - Issue 54 - Feb17-Apr17

Welcome to the first 2017 edition of chain link.

We have munched our way through breakfasts and already had a great first Super Sunday with the club buzzing to get out on the roads and learn new skills and get involved in various activities such as our well subscribed slow speed event which everyone found very useful.

This latest edition catches up on trips from last season, Spain seems to have had quite a few of our members exploring it's various routes. Plus the Christmas quiz and jumper evening, plus news from around the region on IAM RoadSmart organisation and events coming up such as the Rider skills days which are thoroughly recommended if you get the chance.

As a club we can only run if you help too, so we are looking for our ride leaders for the season ahead, usually the 2nd and 3rd weekends of the month on a Sunday but you can choose if half day or full day and if you wish to do a Saturday then that's fine too, just contact Geoff our rides co-ordinator to find out more about dates and leading a ride.

Finally, a reminder that the BAM annual general meeting is on March 8th at The Miners, 214 Badminton Road, Coalpit Heath. It is your opportunity to find out more about what we've done over the year, and have a say and input to the year ahead. There will of course be a buffet, a raffle and chance to catch up with other members of the group.

If you have any feedback on the magazine or articles for the next edition, please send them through whilst they are fresh in your minds. eg. anyone fancy doing a write up from the slow speed session ?

Hope to see you at the final BAM biker breakfast, or Coalpit Heath, or the next Super Sunday and don't forget we still have discounted advanced rider courses available so tell your family and friends if they are thinking about it, to pop along.
